About MATTHEW BLACKWELL

After high School, Matthew attended Virginia Commonwealth University earning his Bachelor of Fine Arts in Sculpture.

Matthew lived in Southern California for nearly 16 years, Matthew now draws his inspiration from the experience of his travels and the urban sprawl of Downtown LA which he calls home.

Matthew's paintings are highly complex, with colorful organic shapes presenting themselves through many layers.

Critics have referred his unique style as "mechanically organic" and "biological graffiti".
